Here are some featured chocolate recipes:

Chocolate Mousse Recipe
x chocolate mousse recipe Ingredients:
400gr chocolate(zartbitter, dark) melted
4 dl cream, 5 egg yolks
30 gr sugar
5 egg whites
1 shot cognac

Directions: Melt chocolate add 1 dl cream and mix, add 5 egg yolks and 15 gr sugar beat until foamy, beat 5 egg whites with 15 gr sugar until firm foam ad to mix, finaly ad 3 dl whipped cream and cognac, mix slowly put all in a cold form and refigerate for 1 hour. Optional: ad 1/2 small cup of coffee to melted chocolate for flavor.


Chocolate Sundae Cake Recipe
x chocolate sundae cake recipe Ingredients:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 T. unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts
.
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 T. vegetable oil
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot coffee


Directions:

Combine first 6 ingredients (left column) in an ungreased 8 or 9 inch square pan. Blend milk, vanilla and oil; stir into dry ingredients. Spread evenly. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Blend cocoa (right column) with coffee; pour over mixture. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.



Chewy Chocolate Pie Recipe
x chocolate pie recipe Ingredients:
10 in. pie shell, fluted high
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
4 oz. butter
4 eggs
1/4 c. corn syrup
2 T. rum or Amaretto


Directions:

Prebake pie shell for 12 minutes at 375F, until the bottom is dry but not brown. Cool.

Melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat. Beat eggs well, add sugar, corn syrup, milk and Amaretto, and beat well. On low speed beat chocolate mixture into egg mixture. Pour into partially baked pie shell. Bake 50 minutes, remove from oven and refrigerate.

Top with cream (2 c.heavy cream with 1/4 c. sugar and 1 T. Amaretto, whipped to soft peaks).



Mrs. Rorer's Chocolate Cake Recipe
x chocolate cake recipe Ingredients:
  • 2 ounces of chocolate,
  • 4 eggs,
  • ½ a cup of milk,
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla,
  • ½ a cup of butter,
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar,
  • 1 heaping teaspoonful of baking powder,
  • 1 ¾ cups of flour.


Directions:

Dissolve the chocolate in five tablespoonfuls of boiling water. Beat the butter to a cream, add the yolks, beat again, then the milk, then the melted chocolate and flour. Give the whole a vigorous beating. Now beat the whites of the eggs to a stiff froth, and stir them carefully into the mixture; add the vanilla and baking powder. Mix quickly and lightly, turn into well-greased cake pan and bake in a moderate oven forty-five minutes.—From Mrs. Rorer's Cook Book.
